Robinson caught the only ball thrown his way for 12 yards in Sunday's victory over the Giants.

EDGE Analysis

It was a disappointing day to say the least for Robinson, who earned the start in place of injured wideouts Pierre Garcon (neck) and Trent Taylor (ribs). In his defense, C.J. Beathard targeted his ancillary options (17 passes to running backs and tight ends) as opposed to his wideouts (eight targets) Sunday. That said, three other wide receivers finished the day with more targets, receptions and yards than Robinson. The 29-year-old should draw another start against a Richard Sherman-less Seattle defense following the team's bye, but it's tough to recommend him as a fantasy option following this week's clunker, even if Jimmy Garoppolo takes over under center for the 49ers.

Robinson started Sunday's tilt against the Cardinals, finishing with 18 yards on two receptions (eight targets) in a 20-10 loss.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson moved into the starting lineup following Pierre Garcon's (neck) placement on the IR on Saturday. The veteran's stat line was nothing to write home about, but the eight targets he received was his second highest total this season. While not every missed connection was directly his fault, the disparity between his receptions and targets highlights Robinson's mediocre 37 percent catch rate this year. On the bright side, the big-play receiver should continue to see increased targets during his stay in the starting lineup, especially if Trent Taylor's rib injury forces him to miss next week's game against the Giants, who were just torched for 209 yards by the Rams' wideouts.

Robinson will start Sunday versus the Cardinals, Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee reports.

EDGE Analysis

Entering the game, Robinson earned the fourth-most offensive snaps (40 percent) among 49ers wideouts through eight contests. The placement of Pierre Garcon (neck) on injured reserve has opened the door for Robinson, who will work opposite Marquise Goodwin. Robinson boasts a career mark of 18.3 YPC, but his accompanying catch rate of 47.2 percent leaves much to be desired.

Robinson should see an uptick in playing time with Pierre Garcon (neck) being placed on the injured reserve.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran has served as the team's No. 4 wideout this season, which hasn't resulted in much fantasy relevance (10 receptions, 168 yards and a touchdown through eight games). With Garcon officially done for the year, Robinson figures to fill his vacancy as one of the 49ers' two outside receivers, assuming the team wants to keep ideal slot man Trent Taylor on the inside of three-wide sets. The 29-year-old has big play potential (16.8 yards per catch) and is familiar with Kyle Shanahan's offense from their time together in Washington and Atlanta. It is also worth noting that he received 12 targets -- albeit just three receptions -- the last time he was asked to fill in for an injured starter back in Week 4. The 49ers' inconsistencies in the passing game will limit Robinson's appeal, but the sheer increase in volume should put him on the map in deeper PPR formats.

Robinson didn't turn either of his two targets into a reception in Sunday's 33-10 loss to Philadelphia.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran wideout only has one catch to his name despite playing a combined 60 snaps over the past two contests. Being the No. 4 wide receiver on a 49ers' offense that struggles to pass the ball is not a favorable fantasy position. The only path to relevance for Robinson next week would be if Pierre Garcon (neck) wasn't able to suit up, a notion he had already put to rest following Sunday's loss, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Robinson caught his lone target for 15 yards in Sunday's 40-10 loss to Dallas.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson made a splash against Washington in Week 6 with a 45-yard touchdown, but fell back to earth on Sunday. The veteran is still the No. 4 option in San Francisco, but he still managed 30 offensive snaps, just 16 off the team lead. Robinson isn't worth playing, but he's shown big play ability and has seen at least four targets in three of the last five games.

Robinson caught two passes for 66 yards and a score in Sunday's 26-24 loss to the Redskins.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson was quiet for most of the game until new starting quarterback C.J. Beathard connected with him on a 45-yard touchdown with two minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Redskins inexplicably ran a cover 1 defense with the 49ers operating in an obvious pass situation, leaving the veteran wide open down the sideline for his first touchdown of the year. The offense showed new life after Beathard took over, which should give a small bump to San Francisco's receiving options. That said, Robinson is still operating as the team's fourth wideout, so his targets will fluctuate on a week-to-week basis.

Robinson caught the only ball thrown his way for five yards in Sunday's overtime loss to the Colts.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson stepped up last week (three catches for 52 yards) after Marquise Goodwin departed the game with a concussion. The latter was able to suit up Sunday, so the veteran resumed his fantasy-irrelevant role as the 49ers' fourth-string wideout. Robinson won't gain value unless one of the team's starting receivers suffer another injury.

Robinson caught three balls (12 targets) for a team-high 52 yards in an 18-15 loss to Arizona on Sunday.

EDGE Analysis

Marquise Goodwin was knocked out of the game early with a concussion, so Robinson stepped up to fill the vacant outside receiver role. The veteran was targeted heavily in this one, but a couple of drops combined with some inaccurate throws from Brian Hoyer left the 29-year-old with a pedestrian stat line. Goodwin's status for Week 5's matchup against Indianapolis remains in question. If he is unable to suit up, Robinson could be worth a flyer against a Colts' defense that has given up the fourth-most passing yards (283.5 per game) to opposing offenses this season.

Robinson had two catches (four targets) for 23 yards in Thursday's 41-39 loss to the Rams.

EDGE Analysis

Robinson tied starting slot receiver, Trent Taylor, in targets, but the latter was the beneficiary of one of Brian Hoyer's two touchdown passes. The veteran is clearly the 49ers' No. 4 receiving option, a position that didn't result in much production even on a night where the team passed for over 300 yards. It would take an injury to one of San Francisco's starting wideouts for Robinson to gain any fantasy value.
