Gobert, like many of his teammates, was simply on fire. He now has 12 double-doubles through 27 appearances in 2017-18, and Gobert will look to build on this effort as the Jazz try to extend its winning streak to seven games on Wednesday versus the Grizzlies.

He mainly affects the game in ways that don't appear on the box score, but it will be fun to watch how he and star rookie Donovan Mitchell mesh. Early returns have been great for the young Jazz team with their rim-protector back roaming the paint. Gobert has accumulated three or more blocks and scored in the double-digits in six of eight games since returning from injury.

The Stifle Tower has scored in double digits in five of his last seven contests as well, numbers that he's supplemented with at least six rebounds in each of those games and six multiple-block tallies.

His other four first-unit mates scored between 18 and 23 points apiece, so Gobert's offensive role was somewhat muted Tuesday. However, he put together a relatively solid stat line relative to playing time and finished January with averages of 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.7 blocks and 1.2 steals across the six games he played after returning from an extended layoff from a knee injury. The big man has encouragingly been able to play at least 28 minutes in each of those contests, paving the way for him continue building on the strong numbers he's generated over 24 games thus far this season if his health endures.

EDGE Analysis

Gobert registered his second double-double since returning from injury, collecting a season-high in rebounds. He should continue to post similar stat lines to what people saw Friday night as they move into an empty week, only playing three games over the next seven days.

Gobert recorded 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-6 FT), eight rebounds, four blocks and one assist across 38 minutes in Wednesday's 98-95 victory over the Pistons.

EDGE Analysis

Gobert seems to be progressing just fine from his sprained knee injury as he played 38 minutes, which ties his season-high for minutes in a game. Given that the game went to overtime, it will probably be an outlier going forward, but nonetheless, the fact he was able to push himself and play those extra minutes while leading the Jazz to a victory bodes well for a big man who has been sidelined for nearly half of the season so far.

Gobert, who managed 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 FT), seven rebounds and three blocks in Saturday's 125-113 win over the Clippers, is averaging 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks across 29.0 minutes in his two games since returning from a knee injury.

EDGE Analysis

The rim-protecting big man recently missed 15 games with a sprained left knee, a stretch that was preceded by an 11-game absence earlier in the season. Gobert has impressively managed to jump right back into the swing of things this time around after struggling some following his first sabbatical, and the fact that he immediately jumped back into a normal allotment of playing time was certainly a welcome sight for fantasy owners. The Stifle Tower's shot has shown no signs of rust either, as he's posted a 68.4 percent success rate over the aforementioned two-game sample.

Gobert scored a team-high 23 points (7-10 FG, 9-15 FT) while adding 14 rebounds, three blocks and an assist in 30 minutes during Friday's 117-115 loss to the Knicks.

EDGE Analysis

He got the better of former teammate Enes Kanter in the paint in Gobert's return from a 15-game absence due to a knee injury. The 25-year-old now has nine double-doubles in 19 games on the season, and if he can stay on the court he should be headed for a big second half.

Gobert (knee) will be available for Friday's game against the Knicks, Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Jazz listed Gobert as probable on Thursday, and he's now been cleared to play after one final evaluation at shootaround. The big man has missed the last 15 games with a sprained left knee, last playing on December 15 against the Celtics. The 25-year-old will likely face a minutes restriction in the short term, and at this point it's unclear if he'll immediately return to the starting lineup.
