Gorat failed to score (0-4 FG) and posted seven rebounds, three assists and four steals across 24 minutes in Monday's 116-69 loss to the Jazz.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran big man managed to generate some serviceable counting stats despite coming up empty in the scoring column. Gortat had shot 50 percent or better in six of his previous eight games, so Monday's showing was an atypical bump in the road. The veteran remains a viable source of rebounds and a double-double candidate on any given night, but he's averaging his lowest amount of shot attempts (7.6) and points (9.7) since his 2010-11 campaign in Orlando.

Gortat scored 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 FT) to go along with 12 rebounds, three assists and four steals over 32 minutes in Friday's 109-91 win over Detroit.

EDGE Analysis

Despite collecting his seventh double-double of the season, Gortat is averaging a meager 8.6 points to go with 7.2 rebounds over his last five games. The center's inconsistency as an offensive player (10.1 points) is not boosted by his 8.7 rebounds per game. In the four games prior to Friday, Gortat had been stuck in the single digits in the point column. Overall, Gortat is an unreliable option for scoring, but, will collect a decent amount of rebounds.

Gortat posted 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds and one blocked shot across 28 minutes in Friday's 91-88 loss to the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

Coming into Friday's game Gortat was in the midst of a rough patch, averaging only 7.6 points and 5.8 rebounds over five games, which is nowhere near the output you need from a center from a fantasy perspective. While he put up a good stat line in this matchup, his up-and-down performances are a cause for concern when considering Gortat in any format, as his rebounding totals aren't even satisfactory for the position. He only has value in deeper leagues right now.

Gortat registered two points (0-6 FG, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, and two steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 102-93 win over the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

Gortat was effective despite his mediocre line. However, this was his sixth single-digit scoring effort in the last nine bouts and his second two-point performance in the past three, this after scoring 12.3 points per during October. Moreover, Gortat's rebounding numbers have also fallen off in November, as he's averaging 7.0 boards this month compared to 9.7 in October. Perhaps the veteran center will turn things around, but it seems as if Markieff Morris returning to the lineup (back on Nov. 3) has hurt Gortat.

Gortat scored 11 points (3-7 FG, 5-6 FT) while adding 12 rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes during Sunday's 107-96 win over the Raptors.

EDGE Analysis

It's Gortat's third double-double in nine games, as the veteran center filled his usual support role for the Wizards' shooters even though John Wall (shoulder) wasn't in the lineup. His numbers have been consistent since he came to Washington in 2013-14, and there's no reason to expect them to change radically this season.

Gortat managed 11 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist and one block across 37 minutes in Wednesday's 102-99 overtime loss to the Lakers.

EDGE Analysis

Playing against one of the more vulnerable frontcourts in the league, Gortat generated his first double-double since the opener. The 33-year-old big man is serving in his usual complementary role to the trio of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter in the early going, averaging a solid 12.5 points, 11.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks across 33.8 minutes.

Gortat tallied 16 points (7-12 FG, 2-3 FT), 17 rebounds, three blocks and one assist across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 120-115 win over the 76ers.

EDGE Analysis

Gortat took advantage of the inexperienced 76ers during Wednesday's regular-season opener. The veteran no stranger to monster games, as he recorded 10 double-doubles last year with at least 15 boards. Gortat makes for a quality center option in fantasy, as he's played at least 81 games over three of the past four years and averaged 10.8 points and 10.4 boards per game during 2016-17.

Gortat registered eight points (3-5 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, and one assist in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 117-115 loss to the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

Gortat's role with the Wizards remains unchanged. He's their unquestioned starting center, and the favorite screener of their guards in the pick-and-roll game. Assuming Ian Mahinmi is healthier than he was last year, Gortat could see his minutes dip a bit. Nevertheless, he has proven his worth with the Wizards, with averages of 12.4 points (on 56.2 percent from the field), 9.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 31.0 minutes while missing just eight games in four seasons in Washington.

Gortat accumulated 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-1 FT), 16 rebounds, two assists and one block across 31 minutes during Thursday's 116-89 Game 3 victory over the Celtics.

EDGE Analysis

Gortat has recorded a double-double in each of the Wizards' first three contests this round of the postseason, with seemingly no one on the Celtics, a notably poor rebounding squad, being able to keep him off the glass. Also of note, he saw just 31 minutes of action Thursday -- a good sign for Gortat and the Wizards as he had logged an average of 40.5 minutes per game over Games 1 and 2, likely fatiguing the big man. Not only did the Wizards' blowout victory allow for Gortat to catch his breath, but the return of Ian Mahinmi to the rotation takes some of the burden off Gortat's shoulders moving forward in the playoffs. While the Polish Hammer may not see 40-minute workloads moving forward, he's still a viable fantasy option, as he is no stranger to racking up double-doubles -- averaging 10.8 points and 10.4 rebounds across 31.2 minutes per game in the regular season.

Gortat recorded 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block in 39 minutes during Sunday's 123-111 loss to the Celtics in Game 1.

EDGE Analysis

Gortat posted his third double-double of these playoffs, bouncing back on offense after managing only 11 points in the last four games combined. Backup center Ian Mahinmi (calf) is still without a timetable for return, so Gortat will likely continue playing heavy minutes given the Wizards' lack of depth at the position.
