He recorded a pair of steals for the third straight game, and appears to be another solid find for a franchise that has excelled at personnel acquisition over the last decade-plus. While he'll immediately return to a reserve role as soon as Leonard gets back on the court, Anderson is gaining invaluable experience during these starting opportunities.

Anderson registered eight points (4-6 FG), three rebounds, an assist and a pair of steals over 28 minutes in Thursday's 105-86 loss to the Clippers.

The second-year pro got the spot start in Kawhi Leonard's (calf) stead, receiving the most minutes since he tallied 30 in a decimation of the Sixers back on Dec. 7. Anderson was efficient with his opportunities, but his lack of overall aggression on offense left the Spurs lacking on the scoreboard.
