Richardson suffered from a partially torn MCL in his right knee, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fresh off losing Dwyane Wade in free agency, Richardson was set to take over the starting shooting guard duties in Miami. This injury may put that on hold for the young sharpshooter out of Tennessee, but the timetable for his return will be based on how well rehab goes. Should Richardson have to miss any time, Tyler Johnson will likely start in his place with Wayne Ellington getting some added minutes on the court as well.

Richardson participated in only three games at the Orlando Summer League and did not play for the Heat's entry in the Las Vegas Summer League.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson established himself as a legitimate NBA-caliber player last season, so it was no surprise to see Miami exercise caution. In his three Orlando Summer League contests, Richardson averaged 16.7 points on 47.2 percent shooting to go with 4.7 assists and one steal. The Tennessee product looked to be in position for an increased role next season following the departure of Dwyane Wade, but the Heat brought back Tyler Johnson and added both Dion Waiters and Wayne Ellington in free agency. As a result, Richardson will have to fight for minutes at his natural shooting guard position, but coach Erik Spoelstra could also employ his versatility at point guard or small forward.

Richardson had 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block across 22 minutes during the Heat's 99-91 loss to the Raptors in Wednesday's Game 5.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson reached double figures in scoring for the first time since Game 1, and he attempted his highest number of field goals in a contest since the Charlotte series. Richardson does not play the same position as Luol Deng (wrist), but if the veteran is limited or forced to sit out Game 6, there figures to be more playing time available for the rookie.

Richardson (shoulder) will be active and available to play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Hornets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson suffered a shoulder injury during Friday's Game 6 and was forced to have an MRI performed following the outing to clear him of any significant damage. The MRI came back negative showing no dislocation or tear, and after going through warm-ups prior to Sunday's Game 7 without any lingering issues, Richardson will remain in the lineup and is available to play. Richardson has averaged 30 minutes per game so far during the playoffs and as long as he doesn't suffer any in-game setbacks, look for similar playing time Sunday. Richardson has also averaged 7.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists during the first six games of the series.

Richardson (shoulder) will be a game-time decision in Sunday's Game 7 against the Hornets, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson injured his shoulder in the closing minutes of Friday's Game 6, and had an MRI done on Saturday. Fortunately, the X-Ray's came back negative showing no dislocation or tear. He is now considered a game-time decision Sunday, but it should be noted that he indicated he intends to play. Expect an update on his status closer to tip-off.

Richardson (shoulder) is uncertain if he will be able to participate in Sunday's Game 7 matchup with the Hornets, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson injured his shoulder near the end of Friday's Game 6 loss. He still managed to play 26 minutes prior to exiting. He had an MRI done on his shoulder Saturday, and the team is waiting for the results. As of now his status is up in the air until the team learns more from he MRI. If he cannot go, Tyler Johnson should see an increased workload.

Richardson suffered a left shoulder injury near the end of Friday's Game 6 victory over the Hornets, although severity remains unknown, Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson still managed to spend 26 minutes on the court Friday before his exit. It seems that he's waiting to return to Miami before seeking out further medical evaluation, so his status for Game 7 on Sunday won't likely be made clear until Saturday. If he's forced to sit, Tyler Johnson will likely be in store for a bump in playing time even though he's yet to see the court in the postseason.

Richardson compiled 15 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, one assist, and one block across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 115-103 win over the Hornets in Game 2 of the series.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson finished as the Heat's leading bench scorer and ended a recent four-game streak of inefficiency in which he'd averaged just five points on 25.9 percent shooting. That recent skid hasn't affected Richardson's court time, so it looks as though coach Erik Spoelstra is committed to sticking with him as the team's primary scoring option on the second unit.

Richardson had 13 points (4-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block in 33 minutes during the Heat's 112-109 loss to the Magic on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Following the All-Star break, Richardson has made a name for himself off the Heat bench by providing instant offense and outside shooting. He has scored in double figures during four straight games, and is averaging 13 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and two three-pointers in 33 minutes over this recent stretch.

Richardson will start Monday against the Nets, Jason Lieser of The Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson figures to see significant time on the court Monday with Goran Dragic (illness) and Tyler Johnson (shoulder) out, leaving Richardson as the only active point guard for Miami.
