The Knicks will pay $1.35 million of Jared Jeffries' salary as part of the Raymond Felton sign-and-trade deal with the Blazers. The Knicks will get Felton and veteran Kurt Thomas, but New York had to pay a shade over $1 million for the Blazers to agree to take Jeffries. Even if Jeffries (knees) is healthy, we don't envision a major role for him in Portland.
