Richardson (knee) will not play in Tuesday's preseason matchup with the Nets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Richardson has struggled to progress through his rehab during the preseason schedule and has yet to make his debut, as he continues to work back from a partially torn MCL. It remains unclear if he'll be available by the time the regular season opener approaches, which would mean Dion Waiters and Tyler Johnson would see the bulk of the work at shooting guard. With that said, once he's healthy, he should push for time as a regular rotation member in the Heat's backcourt.
