Richardson (knee) is yet to take contact at practice and will not be available for the Heat's season opener Wednesday in Orlando, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Richardson said he's still dealing with some residual soreness in his right knee, but on a more positive note he said he's not experiencing any pain during movement. The guard is still without a firm timetable, and the Heat are unlikely to offer anything of the sort until he returns to taking full contact in practice. Until Richardson returns, Miami will be forced to lean more heavily on the combination of Dion Waiters, who is expected to start at shooting guard, and Tyler Johnson.
