Okongwu was placed in concussion protocol Wednesday and is out for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Sarah K. Spencer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Okongwu could certainly be looking at a multigame absence, especially with the Hawks playing again Friday against the Wizards. He's been providing nice minutes at backup center, with averages of 7.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 blocks in 18.7 minutes last month.
