Douglas was able to be signed to an extra roster spot via the NBA's hardship exception as they continue to deal with a plethora of injuries, most notably to starting point guard Mike Conley (back). Douglas will give Memphis some much-needed depth in the backcourt, but the team will likely continue to lean on Andrew Harrison and rookie Wade Baldwin to lead the way with floor leading duties as they look to develop their younger players.
