Coach Dwane Casey said after Monday's preseason game that Kyle Lowry's strained adductor (groin) injury isn't a big deal and that he's being held out for precautionary reasons. "I'm sure if we had a playoff game coming up tomorrow night, he'd be able to go," Casey said. "It's nothing serious, it's more precautionary than anything else. I want him Oct. 31 more than right now." While all of this is good news, the fact the injury is still hanging around after ruining Lowry's season last year is a red flag. His preseason (when he is supposed to be figuring things out for a new team) is in jeopardy and back up point guard John Lucas played very well behind starter Jose Calderon last night. Lowry is still our favorite point guard in Toronto, but there are some obvious concerns about him being able to make it through the season in one piece.
