Ariza contributed six points (1-11 FG, 1-8 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal across 35 minutes in a 114-109 loss to the Pistons on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
After seeing most of his action at power forward while Ryan Anderson (ankle) was sidelined for the previous six games, Ariza moved back over to his more natural spot at small forward Friday with Anderson returning, but looked a bit out of sorts. We're willing to chalk it up as just a bad shooting night for Ariza, who is shooting a respectable 35 percent from three-point range on the season. He'll look to rediscover his outside touch over the team's final three contests of the regular season, but with the Rockets locked into the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, it wouldn't be surprising if he was held out for rest in any of those contests, or at the very least, saw a reduction in playing time.
