Andrew Bynum has appealed his five-game suspension in hopes that it will be reduced. Bynum is waiting to hear back from the league, but we would be somewhat surprised if the suspension gets reduced given the vicious nature of his foul on J.J. Barea last season. The Lakers open the season with games on three consecutive nights (Dec. 25, 26 and 27).
