Dieng got to work immediately when he entered at the 6:53 mark in the first quarter, shooting 4-for-4 from the field in the opening quarter. The center was quiet the rest of the way after scoring 11 of his points before halftime. Dieng would make his lone field goal attempt of the second half while playing just nine minutes in a tightly contested game with the defending champs. The 30-year-old has played over 20 minutes in his last four games, seeing more time as injuries have affected Memphis' starting lineup.

Dieng scored 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3PT, 3-3 FT) to go with six rebounds, two steals and one loss across 24 minutes in a 126-107 loss to Boston on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Dieng had not seen much playing time to start the season, but finally registered over 20 minutes for the first time since the NBA bubble during Wednesday's blowout loss in Boston. The center has been efficient in his minutes this season, shooting 52 percent from the field in four games. With Grayson Allen leaving early with an ankle sprain, Memphis has already seen significant injuries to start the season by three regular starters, which could spell more playing time for bench players like Dieng in the coming games.

Dieng is averaging a career-low 11.0 minutes per game across the first three games of the season.

EDGE Analysis

It's still very early, but Dieng is barely seeing any playing time despite the team dealing with various injuries. The 31-year-old center is more of an end of the bench option for this young Memphis squad, but he could see more action if Jonas Valanciunas or Brandon Clarke miss any time this season.

Dieng was a DNP-CD in Sunday's loss to the Spurs.

EDGE Analysis

Taking advantage of some injuries, Dieng put together a strong run in February and March prior to the shutdown, but he has not played in either of the Grizzlies' first two games in Orlando. For now, the former Louisville standout appears to be outside of the regular rotation.

Dieng posted six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and two blocks across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 118-79 victory over the Nets.

EDGE Analysis

Dieng was excellent on the glass and on defense in limited action, helping hold off the Nets, who were on the second night of a back-to-back. With the performance, Dieng became just the second player over the past 10 years to post 14 boards and two blocks in 19 or fewer minutes -- the other being Salah Mejri in 2017. Over the past seven games, Dieng is averaging 9.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steal in 22.4 minutes, seeing extended run due to the absences of Jaren Jackson (knee) and Brandon Clarke (quadriceps).

Dieng finished with 17 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 boards, one assist, one block, and one steal in 26 minutes of a 125-88 win against the Hawks on Monday.

EDGE Analysis

Dieng recorded his third double-double since the All-Star break in the contest, as he also had his second most minutes since linking up with the Grizzlies early in February. Dieng is a second unit option for his squad, but can put up numbers when given the opportunity. He'll face the Nets on Wednesday.

Dieng finished with 10 points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 140-112 loss to the Rockets.

EDGE Analysis

Dieng has been one of the hottest pickups over the past few days but was unable to make the most of his emerging role. If you added him prior to this game, you would be well advised to hold given this was arguably the worst matchup thinkable for Dieng. The Grizzlies will host the Kings on Friday and we should look for Dieng to put up a much-improved performance in that one.

Dieng totaled 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four blocks and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 124-97 loss to the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

Dieng played a team-high 28 minutes Monday as the injury list in Memphis continues to grow. Brandon Clarke (hip) was only able to play four minutes before leaving the game, affording Dieng with a nice opportunity to flaunt his wares. He has a proven ability to put up numbers whenever the playing time is there and until we get word on Clarke's injury, Dieng is worth adding in most competitive formats.

Dieng totaled seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 13 minutes during Wednesday's 111-104 win over the Trail Blazers.

EDGE Analysis

Dieng put together a solid line in his Memphis debut, especially considering he saw the lowest minute total among the 10 Grizzlies who took the court in this one. Dieng has earned double-digit minutes in four straight games dating back to his time with the Timberwolves, but he's unlikely to warrant much attention beyond deeper leagues barring a bunch of injuries.

Dieng isn't listed on the Grizzlies' injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Wizards.

EDGE Analysis

Though Dieng looks like he'll be available off the bench Sunday, he might not make his Grizzlies debut until later in the week. Per Omari Sankofa II of The Athletic, Dieng hadn't joined the team as of Saturday and didn't have the benefit of going through a practice or shootaround with the team, so coach Taylor Jenkins may be reluctant to use the big man outside of an emergency.
