Brewer was held without a point (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and had one rebound, one assist, and one steal across 14 minutes in Monday's loss to the Bucks.

EDGE Analysis

After scoring 10 points and 15 points, respectively, in the Rockets' previous two games, Brewer saw his court time and production drop off steadily Monday night. Brewer's decline in usage can likely be attributed to starting small forward Trevor Ariza submitting one of his best lines of the season (20 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds over 35 minutes), but even on Ariza's off nights, Brewer can hardly be trusted for consistent numbers. Prior to the two-game scoring outburst, Brewer had combined for 30 points in the preceding five contests.

Brewer scored 24 points (9-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go along with four steals and an assist in 25 minutes on Thursday in a win against the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer has seen more minutes lately with all the injuries that have ravaged the Rockets' roster. As long as the injuries keep piling up, Brewer will be a fantastic play in all fantasy formats since he can fill up the stat sheet in a lot of different ways. Thursday's great performance had a lot to do with the Suns ineptitude to play defense, but at most, it did show what Brewer is capable when given the chance.

Brewer contributed 17 points (7-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist, and one block in 30 minutes during the Rockets' 116-108 loss to the Thunder on Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer has now started in five consecutive games, with averages of 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks in 27 minutes per contest. Though it's possible he will stick in the starting lineup long-term, Brewer is extremely inconsistent, and the Rockets still have a fairly deep bench.

Brewer will start again Friday versus the Thunder, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

EDGE Analysis

This will be the fifth consecutive game started for Brewer. With Dwight Howard and Clint Capela active, Houston could have started both. However, Trevor Ariza has been playing really well at the power forward slot, so Houston has opted to go with a small-ball lineup again. It appears that this is the direction the Rockets what to go with their lineups in the foreseeable future, but the situation will need to continue being monitored.

Brewer will draw another start Wednesday versus the Spurs, Rockets play-by-play Craig Ackerman reports.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer was expected to slide back into a reserve role with the return of Dwight Howard to the starting lineup, but the Rockets have opted to stick with their small-ball lineup. Subsequently, Clint Capela will come off the bench instead. Brewer should see a similar workload to what he has been seeing recently.

Brewer contributed 13 points (5-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four steals, three assists, one block, and one rebound across 27 minutes in Sunday's 115-104 win over the Mavericks.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer was making his second straight start while Dwight Howard (ankle) remained sidelined, and was much more active in this contest after he was held to four points on 1-for-6 shooting from the field Friday against the Bucks. So long as the Rockets are comfortable with going with smaller lineups during Howard's absence, Brewer should be a primary beneficiary, and may be worth a speculative short-term pickup in deeper leagues. However, once Howard returns, Brewer's fantasy value will likely dwindle.

Brewer contributed four points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 32 minutes during the Rockets' 102-98 win over the Bucks on Friday.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer's 32 minutes were the most he has seen since Dec. 8 versus the Nets, but he was ice cold from the field on Friday. Over the last five games, the soon-to-be 30-year-old forward is averaging six points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 steals in 22 minutes per contest.

Brewer will draw the start Friday versus Milwaukee, Jonathan Feigan of the Houston Chronicle reports.

EDGE Analysis

In a last minute switch, Brewer will replace Trevor Ariza in the starting lineup Friday. It will be the first start for Brewer since Dec. 9. It is unclear if this is a temporary switch due to matchups, or something new Houston wants to try. The situation will need to be monitored going forward.

Brewer finished with 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, and two assists across 19 minutes in Saturday's 121-103 loss to the Spurs.

EDGE Analysis

Trevor Ariza has been struggling for much of the season, but that hasn't really resulted in any increased run for Brewer, who is averaging just 20.2 minutes on the campaign. He's best left on the waiver wire in most formats until a pathway to more frequent playing time opens up.

Brewer scored 15 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 28 minutes during the Rockets' 109-103 win versus the Wizards on Wednesday.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer started in place of Trevor Ariza (back), and will likely continue to do so until Ariza is able to return to action. Brewer is an inconsistent shooter, but while he is earning starters minutes he is likely worth a look in deep or daily leagues.
