Brewer contributed eight points (4-8 FG), four steals, two rebounds, and two assists in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 109-94 loss to the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer totaled a season high in steals, and he finished 2016-17 on a high note despite struggling for much of the campaign. A year after appearing in all 82 games for the Rockets, Brewer still saw the floor in 72 games this season, but the 31-year-old forward watched his role shrink considerably in his 10th season.

Brewer provided 11 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 18 minutes in a 119-104 loss to the Timberwolves on Thursday.

EDGE Analysis

Making his third start in a row in place of the injured Brandon Ingram (knee), Brewer was able to top double figures in the scoring column for the first time in those contests, but that's probably the extent of his upside. As a veteran on a rebuilding team, Brewer won't stand to see his playing time pick up much even if Ingram is forced to miss additional contests. Coach Luke Walton has chosen to lean more heavily on younger bench players like David Nwaba, Tyler Ennis and Larry Nance to help cover for Ingram's absence.

Brewer will get the start in place of Brandon Ingram (knee) on Tuesday against Washington.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer will start at small forward for the second straight game, but even with the increased role, he's still a marginal fantasy option. On Sunday against Portland, Brewer managed just three points, two rebounds, two blocks, an assist and a steal in 19 minutes of action. Expect the 31-year-old to continue to see a bump in minutes so long as Ingram remains out.

Brewer totaled three points (1-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 19 minutes in Sunday's 97-81 loss to the Trail Blazers.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran couldn't generate much in his spot start for Brandon Ingram (knee), certainly a disappointing outcome considering he'd just poured in 12 points over 16 minutes against the T-Wolves on Friday. It was a forgettable effort overall for the entire Lakers offense, however, and Brewer has certainly proven capable of generating solid production over his long career. Therefore, he could certainly bounce back if he takes the floor with the first unit again Tuesday night versus the Wizards.

Brewer will draw the start at small forward for Sunday's matchup against the Trail Blazers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SortsNet reports.

EDGE Analysis

With Brandon Ingram (knee) sidelined, coach Luke Walton will opt to insert Brewer into the starting five. In eight starts this season, Brewer is averaging 4.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists across 19.4 minutes per game.

Brewer supplied nine points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and one steal over 19 minutes in Sunday's 125-120 loss to the Cavaliers.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran hasn't had much chance to make an impact in Los Angeles since arriving at the trade deadline, but he was able to achieve a near-double-double Sunday. The 31-year-old's scoring total equaled his best in a Lakers uniform, while the rebounding total was his highest since joining the team. Brewer seems to have a modest but fairly consistent role on the second unit, as he's played between 10 and 22 minutes in all but two of his 12 games with the Lakers.

Brewer accumulated two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four assists, one rebound, and one steal across 12 minutes during Thursday's 122-110 victory over the Suns.

EDGE Analysis

In the seven games since Brewer has been traded to the Lakers, he's averaging 4.3 points on 48.1 percent shooting, 1.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.6 blocks across 11.6 minutes per game. It seems he'll likely act more as a veteran presence on the floor, especially helping the second-unit defense, than as a significant part of the gameplan for the Lakers. Despite the move, Brewer's fantasy value ultimately remains very similar to when he was on the Rockets, and he should only be owned in the absolute deepest of fantasy leagues.

Brewer will see limited action in Friday's game against the Thunder, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer was traded to the Lakers on Tuesday and has only had one full practice with the team. Coach Luke Walton said that Brewer was looking good in practice but it will take some time to integrate him into the team. Look for Brewer to see a small role on Friday before seeing his minutes increased going forward.

Brewer, along with a first-round pick, will be traded to the Lakers on Tuesday in exchange for Louis Williams, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

The first-round pick was likely the more coveted asset for the Lakers, but Brewer is still a guy that should play well into the team's up-tempo attack. He's also a well-known defender, which is another trait that is valuable for a team that gives up 110.7 points per game. In moving to the Lakers, Brewer could see a slight uptick in playing time, but he'll still have to fight for minutes at small forward with the likes of Brandon Ingram and Luol Deng. That likely leaves him in a smaller rotational role off the bench, although we should get a better picture of how he'll be used once the Lakers resume games later this week.

Brewer recorded four points (2-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 117-109 loss to the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

Brewer played 25 plus minutes for the third straight game, but failed to reach double-digit scoring in all three. The 30-year-old has not made a huge statistical impact this season, as he is averaging a career low 4.2 points per game to go with 2.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.2 blocks and 0.7 steals.
