Patrick Beverley Out Against Mavericks; Corey Brewer Starting rotoballer.com 1 year ago

This article references Corey Brewer, Patrick Beverley and more! Patrick Beverley suffered a thigh injury late on Monday against the Suns. The injury isn't believed to be serious, but it'll hold him out for tonight's game. Corey Brewer will take the starting spot, but he hasn't been a reliable option for a while now. He'll act as a defensive deterrent against Deron Williams and Wesley Matthews for at least the start of the game. Eric Gordon likely gets an uptick in minutes, and he's been great as a sixth man this season.Keep on reading: Patrick Beverley Out Against Mavericks; Corey Brewer Starting

Midseason Grades: Northwest fantasyalarm.com 6 years ago

As the NBA season storms into the second half, we continue our reviews of the Association, division by division. We have wrapped up the Eastern Conference, and now begin the Western Conference with the Northwest Division. Oklahoma City is on a collision course to meet the Miami Heat in the NBA finals. Anything short of that would be a major disappointment for the Thunder and their fans.

Northwest Division

Oklahoma City Thunder (32-9) The Kevin Durant/Russell Westbrook show has a new member.... James Harden. Harden continues to deliver off the bench, giving the Thunder the all important third option. Oklahoma City continues to benefit from the acquisition of Kendrick Perkins a year ago at the trading deadline. Although Perkins doesn't deliver fantasy numbers, his interior toughness was just what the Thunder needed. Perkins presence has allowed Serge Ibaka more freedom and he has developed into an absolute shot blocking machine.

Denver Nuggets (23-19) After a torrid start, the Nuggets were beset by injuries. Danilo Gallinari, Ty Lawson and Nene have all missed considerable time. Denver has performed well, given the losses of J.R.Smith, Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler overseas during the work stoppage. Al Harrington has been one of the best big men off the bench in the Association and shooting guard Arron Aflllalo has taken another step. Dallas' gift of Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer has strengthened what would have been week reserves on the wing.

Minnesota Timberwolves (22-21) Is Kevin Love the best fantasy player...

Northwest Division

Denver Nuggets- Denver was impacted by the labor negotiations more than any team in the Association. J.R. Smith, Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler all opting to play overseas in China. The good news? The Nuggets retained the services of highly sought after center Nene. Arron Afflalo and Al Harrington are the beneficiaries, now solidly entrenched in starting roles. Ty Lawson is a solid point with Danilo Gallinari, the key to the Carmelo deal, an exciting smal forward. Andre Miller, Rudy Fernandez and Corey Brewer provide depth on the perimeter along with rookie Jordan Hamilton. Chris Anderson and Timofey Mozgov are post reserves along with rookie Kenneth Faried. Projection: 2nd place

Minnesota Timberwolves- When a team picks high in the lottery each year, eventually they will find their way. Minnesota has added two more elite rookies...
