Budinger has signed with Baskonia of the Spanish ACB EuroLeague, international reporter David Pick reports.

He split the 2015-16 campaign between the Pacers and Suns, finishing with averages of 4.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assist over 14.1 minutes per game. Budinger latched on with the Nets during training camp, but was unable to make the final roster and will now head overseas to Spain for his first career appearance in the the international game.

Since joining the Suns in the second week of March, Budinger has averages of 2.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in 11 minutes per appearance. He continues to see the court each night, but his contributions have been minimal, as he has not scored more than six points in any individual contest with Phoenix.

Budinger will sign a contract with the Suns on Tuesday that will run through the rest of the season, Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports.

EDGE Analysis

It's something of a homecoming for Budinger, who was a standout at the University of Arizona for three seasons before declaring for the 2009 NBA Draft. The swingman, who was waived by the Pacers last week, should offer some depth on the wing to a Suns squad that has been lacking many appealing bench alternatives behind starting small forward P.J. Tucker, who has been asked to cover big minutes since T.J. Warren (foot) was lost for the season.

Budinger was officially waived by the Pacers on Saturday.

News of the move surfaced back on Thursday, but Budinger still suited up and played 12 minutes in Friday night's loss to the Hornets. He'll now become a free agent and figures to draw considerable interest around the league, though he won't be eligible to play in the postseason since he was waived after the Mar. 1 deadline. The buyout appears to be in the final stages, but in somewhat of an odd move, Budinger is expected to be in uniform and available for Friday's game against Charlotte, with the buyout expected to become official after the contest. The move to cut ties with Budinger is prompted by the Pacers interest in Ty Lawson, who was waived by Houston earlier in the week. Lawson is said to be in advanced negotiations with Indiana, and a deal should be finalized within the next day or two. Budinger, who has been in and out of the rotation this season, figures to draw considerable interest around the league, though he won't be eligible to play in the postseason since the buyout will have occurred after Mar. 1.

EDGE Analysis

After receiving zero minutes for five straight games between Jan. 30 and Feb. 8, Budinger has appeared in five of the last six contests. However, he has not eclipsed 12 minutes or made much of an impact during this recent stretch, and Budinger can safely be left on waiver wires in fantasy.

Budinger (coach's decision) didn't play in Saturday's 112-104 win over the Pistons.

Budinger has found himself on the outside of coach Frank Vogel's rotation of late, as he's logged just one minute of court time over the team's last eight games. Both Glenn Robinson (eight minutes in Saturday's game) and Solomon Hill (seven minutes) have seemed to leapfrog Budinger on the Pacers' depth chart.

Budinger contributed two points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and six rebounds in 14 minutes during the Pacers' 97-94 win versus the Suns on Tuesday.

Budinger is averaging four points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and one steal in 17 minutes per contest over the last five games. He is earning more minutes than fellow small forward Solomon Hill, but with Paul George and C.J. Miles ahead of those two on the depth chart, it's rare when either one of them reaches 20 minutes played on a given night.
