Pacers waived Blake Ahearn, Luke Nevill and Sundiata Gaines on Monday. Waiving both Gaines and Ahearn comes as a mild surprise since previously they were believed to be duking it out for the backup PG gig, but Indiana is likely going to give that job to Lance Stephenson instead.

Pacers officially sign SG Blake Ahearn. The 6'2" guard will have to fight for a spot on the roster in training camp. If he's able to make the team, there isn't much depth behind Paul George at shooting guard and it would give him some opportunity. Ahearn will certainly have to improve on his 27.3 career field goal percentage in order to earn playing time.
