Over his last 10 games, Simons has scored at least 20 points in seven outings and is averaging 25.1 points per game during that span.

Simons ended Saturday's 124-118 win over the Timberwolves with 31 points (13-22 FG, 5-10 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 35 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

While Simons finished second on the team to Damian Lillard (36 points) for team high-scoring honors, the former had the better shooting game, nailing 13 of 22 field-goal tries. Nearly half of his attempts and makes came from three-point range, and Simons has now converted five or more triples in three of his past four games. It was an impressive bounce-back effort after he scored a season-low six points on 3-for-12 shooting against Denver on Thursday.

Simons contributed six points (3-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt), three rebounds and five assists over 34 minutes during Thursday's 121-120 loss to the Nuggets.

Simons fell in a heap Thursday, putting up easily his worst game of the season. After scoring at least 20 points in four consecutive games, this was merely an off-night for Simons, who thus far has been one of the breakout stars of the season. With Damian Lillard now healthy, Simons is likely to see a bit of a drop-off when compared to his early season numbers. With that said, managers can rest assured he will be better than this moving forward.

EDGE Analysis

Simons couldn't repeat his career-best performance from Saturday against the Jazz, but he still posted a solid stat line even though his numbers were expected to decrease following the return of Damian Lillard to the starting lineup. Even when he has to co-exist with Lillard in the backcourt, and considering what that implies in terms of a decrease in touches, Simons should remain a focal point on offense for the Blazers.

Simons ended Saturday's 116-111 win over the Jazz with a career-high 45 points (15-25 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 8-8 FT) to go with four assists, two rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 41 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

Simons did most of his damage in the first half, as he ripped up the Jazz for 33 points on 12-for-17 shooting from the field through the first two quarters. His pace slowed thereafter, but he still was able to finish with a career high in the scoring column. Simons has embraced a primary role on offense while Damian Lillard (calf) has missed the past seven games, averaging 29.4 points, 5.4 assists and 4.7 triples per contest during that stretch. Lillard could be ready to return to the lineup for the second half of the back-to-back set Sunday against the Pacers, so Simons could soon see his production start to trend down a bit.

He's made it clear that last season's breakout was no fluke, as he's raised his scoring average to 23.8 points per contest while draining 4.1 triples per game. Add 4.5 assists, 3.1 boards and 1.0 steals to his line and you have one of fantasy's most productive shooting guards despite a subpar 42.8 percent field-goal rate.
