Shved was traded to the Rockets on Friday for center Ronny Turiaf and a second-round pick, FOX 26 Houston reports. The 26-year-old Shved will be afforded another fresh start with the Rockets after playing in just 17 games with Philly. While the backcourt situation is more crowded in Houston, he figures to step in as a top option behind Patrick Beverley right away, perhaps relegating Isaiah Canaan to a lesser role. Shved has been getting to the free throw line more often this season (3.4 attempts per game), resulting in a 9.9 points per game average in 16.8 minutes.

Shved (hip) scored 13 points (4-8 FG, 0-3 3P, 5-6 FT) with two assists and a steal in 16 minutes off the bench Wednesday. It was a solid return to action for Shved after he missed three games, but he's not likely to see a big increase in minutes with Tony Wroten due to rejoin the lineup in the near future as well.

Shved scored 18 points Saturday against Dallas, so he's put together back-to-back solid performances. Philadelphia doesn't have a very deep roster, so Shved might be working his way into an expanded role if he can keep this up.
