Davis pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn his 14th save of the season during Monday's win over the Padres.

EDGE Analysis

Davis has been everything the Cubs and fantasy owners could have hoped for after missing time in 2016 with a flexor strain in his right elbow. He's converted all 14 of his save opportunities and posted a sterling 1.48 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 12.6 K/9.

Davis picked up his 13th save of the season in Sunday's win over the Rockies. He allowed a run on two hits and struck out two.

EDGE Analysis

Davis came on with a three-run lead, so the run he gave up did not hurt the Cubs. It was the first time he's been scored upon this month, and his season ERA still sits at a sparkling 1.21, to go along with a 0.81 WHIP. So long as he stays healthy, Davis will be an elite fantasy option.

Davis (personal) was activated off the paternity list Tuesday, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

EDGE Analysis

Davis left to attend to the birth of his child, but he only required a one-game absence to do so. Dylan Floro was sent back to the minors to make room for him on the roster, allowing Davis to resume his normal duties as the Cubs' closer in time for Tuesday's contest with the Marlins.

Davis allowed no runs on one walk and two strikeouts to earn his 12th save Saturday against the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis

Davis was protecting a two-run lead and had no trouble preserving the home win for the Cubs. He's only allowed a run once in 21 outings and he'll continue to be an elite closing option, especially as the Cubs are likely to improve their winning percentage over the summer.

Davis pitched a perfect inning while striking out one to record his 11th save of the year Friday against the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis

Davis came on after the Cubs grabbed a one-run lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, and he had no trouble shutting the door on the Cardinals. He's yet to blow a save this year, and with a 0.93 ERA, he's an elite closer option on a team that's likely to increase their winning percentage as the season moves along.

Davis recorded his 10th save of the season in Wednesday's win over the Giants despite allowing two runs on two hits and a walk.

EDGE Analysis

Davis entered the game with the Cubs up 5-2, but he served up a two-run home run to Mac Williamson. These are the first earned runs allowed by Davis all season, so fantasy owners can't really complain. He remains an elite fantasy option as long as he stays healthy.

Davis struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to pick up his ninth save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Reds.

EDGE Analysis

That's now 18 straight appearances without allowing an earned run this season for Davis, who's been everything the Cubs could have hoped for when they acquired him from the Royals. The reigning champs have hovered around .500 all season, but assuming Chicago goes on a tear over the summer, Davis could begin to see more frequent save opportunities to go with his outstanding performance.

In a non-save situation, Davis pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Tuesday's win over the Reds. He allowed one hit and struck out one.

EDGE Analysis

Davis has been phenomenal in his first season with the Cubs. Through 16.1 innings, he has yet to allow an earned run, and he's struck out 21 to go along with a 0.67 WHIP. The team is off to a slow start by its standards, but if the Cubs get rolling like they did last season, Davis could lead the league in saves if he keeps pitching like this.

Davis gave up an unearned run on a hit and a walk while striking out two in an inning of work to notch his eighth save of the season in Friday's 3-2 win over the Cardinals.

EDGE Analysis

Willson Contreras' throwing error on a dropped strike three with two outs and a runner on second made things interesting, but Davis then whiffed Matt Adams as well to end the ballgame. The former Royal continues his excellent start to his first season as a Cub, and Davis now has a 20:5 K:BB through 15.1 innings to go along with his 0.00 ERA and 0.65 WHIP.
