Skaggs was tossed around by the Rangers on Friday, allowing six runs (five earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out one in just two innings of work.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw wasn't sharp by any means in this one, as he needed 70 pitches to even complete his pair of frames. Thankfully for him, the offense rallied to take him off the hook for the loss, but his awful showing still brought his ERA and WHIP up to 4.89 and 1.46, respectively. This marks the third start in a row that he's served up at least four runs, and to add insult to injury, he has a rough 8:6 K:BB in that span. The myriad of injuries affecting the Halos' pitching staff will likely keep him in the rotation even while the team is contending for a playoff spot, but his fantasy relevance certainly has taken a hit with this rough patch. Skaggs is lined up to take on the Athletics on Wednesday for his next start.

Skaggs was charged with five runs (four earned) on six hits and two walks over five innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Saturday. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't a particularly strong performance -- he also committed a balk in this one -- but the offense rallied late against the Houston bullpen to win the game. Skaggs has now given up eight earned runs over 10.1 innings in his last two starts, and he's gone more than 5.1 innings just once in five starts since his return from an oblique injury. He lines up to face the Rangers in Texas his next time out.

Skaggs (1-4) allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings and took the loss Monday against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs has finished the sixth inning just once in his last four starts, a stretch in which he is now 0-3 with a 3.92 ERA and an 18:8 K:BB over 15.1 innings. He has some promise, but until Skaggs can rein in his control, he won't be able to bring it to the next level.

Skaggs was activated from the bereavement list Monday, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs was placed on the bereavement list Friday following the death of his grandfather. He is slated to start Monday night against Texas.

Skaggs was placed on the bereavement list Friday following the death of his grandfather.
EDGE Analysis
The move will mean Skaggs will be away from the team for anywhere from three to seven games, possibly forcing the team to skip his next start as he is away with his family. Andrew Heaney was activated from the disabled list in a corresponding move.

Skaggs (1-3) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks across five innings while taking the loss Tuesday against the Nationals. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs was forced to work around trouble on a few occasions, but his only real mistakes came on a pair of solo home runs by Howie Kendrick. He labored at times and worked his pitch count up to 91 through five frames before his removal. Unfortunately, his offense couldn't break through against Gio Gonalez on the other end, dooming him to his third loss in four decisions this year, despite a respectable outing. Skaggs has allowed three runs or fewer in six consecutive outings and will take a 3.63 ERA into Monday's start against the Rangers.

Skaggs did not factor into Thursday's decision but had an excellent overall outing, striking out five batters over 6.1 scoreless innings against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
This was a much more encouraging outing than the one he had in his return from the disabled list Saturday when he lasted just 4.0 innings. Skaggs was extremely efficient despite not having his best command as he needed just 84 pitches to get through 6.1 innings while only 54 of those pitches went for strikes. He'll have a tough matchup next time out with a date with the Nationals in D.C. set for Wednesday.

Skaggs (1-2) allowed three earned runs on six hits while suffering the loss against the A's on Saturday, recording three strikeouts and two walks over four innings.
EDGE Analysis
It certainly wasn't a terrible return to the mound for Skaggs, who had missed the last three months with a nagging oblique injury, and his night was cut short by a pitch count limit of 85. The southpaw cruised relatively smoothly through the first 3.2 innings before allowing four straight base runners in the fourth, including a two-run RBI single by Dustin Garneau. Skaggs will likely work towards building up his pitch count for a few starts, so don't be surprised by the short outings while he regains his form. His next outing projects to be Thursday in Seattle.

Skaggs (oblique) was activated from the DL and will start Saturday against the A's, Maria Guardado of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Skaggs is back to make his long-awaited return after throwing 85 pitches in his final rehab start for Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. He will be afforded a relatively soft landing in his first big-league start since April 28, as the A's rank 24th in baseball (13th in the AL) in terms of wRC+ against left-handed pitching.

Skaggs (oblique) will be activated from the 60-day disabled list to start Saturday's game against the Athletics, Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs was able to toss 85 pitches in his third rehab start with Triple-A Salt Lake, and apparently the Angels were content with what they saw as the 26-year-old is set to make his next start for the big club. Given Skaggs has been on the shelf since April 29 with an oblique strain, the Angels will likely keep him around 85 pitches in his first start as they ease him back into action. He compiled a 3.99 ERA and 29 strikeouts in five starts (29 innings) earlier in the season before landing on the DL.
