Skaggs (ankle) is scheduled to throw off a mound over the weekend, J.P. Hoornstra of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is positive news for Skaggs, who appears to be closing in on the next step in his rehab. He played long toss Wednesday and managed to do so without suffering any setbacks. Skaggs will likely have to pitch to live hitters before being cleared for a return.

Skaggs (ankle) is scheduled to play long toss Wednesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
If everything goes well during Wednesday's session, Skaggs will be cleared to resume mound work in the coming days. The southpaw has been sidelined with a sprained left ankle but remains hopeful he'll be able to return when first eligible (April 23).

Skaggs (ankle) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session later this week, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs had no issues with his sprained left ankle while playing catch Monday, clearing the way for his return to mound work. The Angels remain hopeful the 27-year-old will be able to return after the minimum 10 days on the injured list.

Skaggs (ankle) is throwing Monday and hopes to return from the injured list after the minimum 10 days, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs sprained his ankle while fielding a bunt Friday. The fact that he hasn't been shut down from throwing is certainly encouraging, and he seems to have a good shot to miss just one start. Jaime Barria was recalled to take his place on the roster and will likely make a spot start in his place.

Skaggs was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left ankle sprain Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The assignment is retroactive to Saturday, so Skaggs could return as soon as April 23 and may end up missing just one start. Jaime Barria was recalled to take his place on the roster and presumably to fill in for him in the rotation.

Skaggs allowed four runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts and no walks across four innings in a loss to the Cubs on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
It could have been much worse, considering three of the seven hits he allowed were homers. But Skaggs avoided a terrible day for the ERA because only one player combined was on base for the three bombs. Home runs have never been a problem for Skaggs during his seven-year career, so owners can probably chalk up Friday's performance to the conditions at Wrigley Field or the Cubs' powerful lineup. Skaggs is 1-2 with a 4.20 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 15 innings. His next start should come against the Rangers.

Skaggs (1-1) allowed one run on five hits with five strikeouts and one walk across 6.1 innings during a victory against the Rangers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old was on point with his control, posting 26 called strikes. Despite that control, he still didn't post a strikeout per inning, but Skaggs also only walked one batter. Through two starts, his BB/9 is down from 2.9 in 2018 to 1.6 this season. He is also 1-1 with a 2.45 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and seven strikeouts in 11 innings this season. His next start will likely come against the Cubs.

Skaggs (0-1) yielded two runs in 4.2 innings while taking the loss against the Athletics on Sunday. He allowed five hits, two walks and struck out two batters.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs needed 86 pitches and still couldn't manage to escape the fifth inning. The 27-year-old entered 2019 with a career 4.43 ERA but his 4.02 mark in 2018 was a career-best. He'll take the mound again next weekend against the Rangers.

Skaggs (forearm) is slated to start the Angels' fourth regular-season game March 31 versus the Athletics, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs experienced forearm fatigue earlier this month, but the issue only proved to be a temporary setback in his buildup for the regular season. He'll return to the Angels' Cactus League pitching schedule for a start Wednesday versus the Indians and will likely make his final spring appearance in the Freeway Series early next week versus the Dodgers. With Andrew Heaney (elbow) opening the campaign on the injured list, Skaggs looks like the most interesting fantasy option among the Angels' healthy starters after compiling a 4.02 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 125.1 innings in 2018.

Skaggs (forearm) is scheduled to pitch in Wednesday's Cactus League game against the Indians, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Skaggs pitched in a minor-league game Friday, which apparently cleared him for a return to Cactus League play. The 27-year-old was scratched from last Sunday's start due to forearm fatigue after testing an undisclosed new pitch, but his relatively quick return to action should keep him on track for Opening Day.
