Tyler Skaggs To Come Off DL And Start Tuesday rotoballer.com Sun 9/16/18 9:17 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) is scheduled to come off the disabled list on Tuesday to start against the A's. Skaggs should be picked up in most mixed leagues if he's available on the waiver wire. He is 8-8 with a 3.78 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 123 strikeouts in 116 2/3 innings over 21 starts this year. The left-hander might be a little more risky than usual, though, in his first start off the DL and in a tough matchup with Oakland.

Tyler Skaggs Lined Up To Start Wednesday rotoballer.com Sun 9/16/18 3:38 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) is scheduled to start on Wednesday against the A's. Skaggs has a 3.78 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 123 K's in 116 2/3 innings over 21 starts this year, so he's certainly attractive to fantasy owners when he's on the mound. However, he could be limited a bit on Wednesday in his first start since Aug. 11 against a strong offense. Skaggs will be a little more risky than usual for fantasy owners this week in his return.

Tyler Skaggs Could Rejoin Angels Next Week rotoballer.com Sat 9/15/18 6:27 PM

Los Angeles Angels starter Tyler Skaggs (back) says he is ready to go. He threw a bullpen session on Tuesday and has another one scheduled for Sunday. If all goes well, he could rejoin the team later in the week. Skaggs has not pitched since August 11, but he has a 3.78 ERA, a 1.31 WHIP and a career-high 9.5 K/9. He's worth a look in deeper leagues if he can get one or two more starts in this season.

Tyler Skaggs Throws Simulated Game rotoballer.com Thu 9/13/18 7:18 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) threw a 48-pitch simulated game on Thursday, but no decision has been made on his next step. There's no guarantee that the left-hander will make any more starts this season for the Halos or for fantasy owners. He hasn't pitched since Aug. 11 against the A's, but Skaggs has been solid when healthy, going 8-8 with a 3.78 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and career-high 9.5 K/9 across 21 starts. Don't hold out hope that he can help you down the stretch.

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) is close to a return to the rotation, but starter Nick Tropeano (shoulder) isn't making a lot of progress and is "not close to returning," according to manager Mike Scioscia. The left-handed Skaggs has gone 8-8 with a 3.78 ERA, 1.31 [...]

Nick Tropeano, Tyler Skaggs Not Close To Returning rotoballer.com Wed 8/29/18 7:11 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitchers Nick Tropeano (shoulder) and Tyler Skaggs (groin) are playing catch, but manager Mike Scioscia said they've "got a ways to go." Both starters were placed on the disabled list at the beginning of the month and aren't close to returning to the rotation. Skaggs has been the much better starter for fantasy purposes, but neither hurler may offer much in terms of production for owners down the stretch with the Angels well out of contention.

Tyler Skaggs Has Not Thrown in 11 Days rotoballer.com Wed 8/22/18 12:39 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) has not thrown since being placed on the DL back on August 11. Skaggs was pitching excellent this season until his last two starts, where he gave up 17 earned runs in 6 2/3 combined innings. It is unclear when, or if, Skaggs will return to the mound this season. He can be dropped in most formats.

Tyler Skaggs To Start Saturday rotoballer.com Fri 8/10/18 2:40 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (groin) said he will come off the disabled list and start Saturday against the A's. It's a tough matchup, but Skaggs has been solid for the Angels and should be trusted this weekend in fantasy. He's 8-7 with a 3.34 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and career-high 9.4 K/9 on the season in 20 starts. In two starts against Oakland this year covering 13 1/3 innings, Skaggs has allowed 10 hits and no earned runs while striking out 13 and walking one.

Angels Hopeful Tyler Skaggs Can Return Saturday rotoballer.com Wed 8/8/18 10:11 AM

Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia said that he is hopeful Tyler Skaggs (groin) will be able to return from the disabled list on Saturday against the Oakland Athletics. Skaggs left his start on July 31 with a left adductor strain after being lit up for 10 runs in just 3 1/3 innings. That outing aside, Skaggs has been a solid starter throughout the season. He has an 8-7 record with a 3.34 ERA and 9.4 K/9 through 20 starts. If he does return on Saturday, it may be best to avoid starting him[...]
