Skaggs was placed on the 10-day disabled list at the beginning of August and struggled in his four starts after overcoming the injury, allowing 14 runs in 12 innings of work. The Los Angeles Angels avoided salary arbitration with starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs by signing him to a one-year, $3.7 million deal. Skaggs went 8-10 in 2018 with a 4.02 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 9.3 K/9 over 24 starts (125 1/3 innings). The Mariners rang in the new year with yet another move, as news broke in the final hours of 2018 that Nippon Professional Baseball pitcher Yusei Kikuchi had signed a four-year deal with Seattle.Kikuchi will be joining the Mariners after a "down" season in which he only went 14-4 with a 3.08 ERA his highest since 2014 a 1.033 WHIP and an 8.4 K/9. Los Angeles Angels starter Tyler Skaggs made his final start of the season on Saturday. He tossed 3 1/3 innings, giving up three earned runs while walking two and striking out three. Skaggs' ERA climbed to 4.02 on the season. He had a 2.62 ERA on July 25, but things really unraveled after that. Regardless, he will be a decent starting pitching option in fantasy drafts in 2019.
