Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs made his season debut in Sunday's start at Oakland. He allowed just two earned runs, five hits and a walk with two strikeouts across 4 2/3 innings, throwing 50 of his 86 pitches for strikes. Skaggs was slowed by a forearm issue late in spring training, so it's surprising that he even went this deep into the game. His only real mistake was a titanic blast by Khris Davis. Tyler Skaggs Might Not Be Stretched Out By Opening Day rotoballer.com Sat 3/16/19 7:15 PM
Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Tyler Skaggs (forearm) threw 50 pitches in a minor league game on Friday and will start again on Wednesday in either a minor league game or a Cactus League game. The left-hander might not be stretched out for the start of the season, but he's likely to be in the rotation to begin the year. Skaggs has strikeout upside and is a top-of-the-rotation arm for the Halos, but he must prove his health to fantasy owners before he's owned in all mixed leagues.
