Diamondbacks purchased the contract of 3B Matt Davidson from Triple-A Reno. A sandwich round pick in 2009, Davidson has batted .278/.348/.484 with 16 homers and 68 RBI at Reno this season. The D'Backs figure to play him pretty regularly at third base, as they didn't bring the 22-year-old up to sit the bench. It should result in more time in left field for Martin Prado.
