Prado (knee) may not be able to return before the end of the season, Tim Healey of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

EDGE Analysis

He tried to move his rehab to Orlando in an effort to avoid Hurricane Irma, but that plan backfired, as Orlando was hit just as hard as South Florida. Prado says he missed about a week of what would have been on-field ramping-up baseball activity. The Marlins are not ruling out his return this season, but Prado says he doesn't want to be back out there unless he's close to 100 percent. Those who have been stashing Prado in single-season leagues should probably cut bait at this point. Brian Anderson and Derek Dietrich should continue to get the starts at third base the rest of the way. Prado hit .250/.279/.357 with two home runs in 147 plate appearances in his age-33 season.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly remains hopeful that Prado (knee) will be ready to return before the end of the season, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

Prado has been working through range of motion and strengthening exercises in recent weeks. If he's able to return before the end of 2017, it's possible that it won't happen until the later part of September.

Prado underwent a knee scope clean up and could return after 3-5 weeks of recovery, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Prado's surgery required only an arthroscopic solution, though there remains a high degree of variability as to his overall recovery time. The 33-year-old was forced to undergo the operation after seeing little improvement since being placed on the DL earlier this month, but it would appear he could presumably get back on the field sometime in September. Nonetheless, fantasy owners should look elsewhere for replacement options.

Prado will undergo knee surgery, Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports reports.

EDGE Analysis

This probably will end the 33-year-old's season, though Heyman did not directly address that notion in his report. Anyone holding on to Prado in single-year fantasy leagues can move on. The Marlins will continue to fill the gap with a timeshare at third base that includes Derek Dietrich, Mike Aviles and Miguel Rojas.

Prado (knee) has not been making much progress since landing on the DL on July 17, and could require surgery in the near future, Craig Davis of the Sun Sentinel reports.

EDGE Analysis

Prado suffered the right knee sprain during a game against the Phillies, and it hasn't improved near the rate at which the third baseman would've hoped. Manager Don Mattingly stated that the club could make a decision as soon as Friday, prior to the game against Cincinnati. In his place, Derek Dietrich continues to get a majority of the playing time at third base.

Prado was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday with a right knee sprain, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Prado suffered the injury during Monday's game against the Phillies. It's unfortunate timing for this ailment to pop up, as Prado had been the subject of many trade talks as the July 31 deadline approaches. Derek Dietrich and Miguel Rojas (who will be activated from the 60-day DL) will likely man third base in the veteran's absence.

Prado exited Monday's game against the Phillies after four innings, Andre Fernandez of the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

Prado was 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being replaced by Derek Dietrich at third base prior to the top of the fifth inning. The reason for his removal is currently unclear.

Prado will lead off and play third base Sunday against the Dodgers, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

EDGE Analysis

It will likely just be a one-time stay at the top of the lineup for Prado with Dee Gordon resting as the Dodgers bring a lefty (Rich Hill) to the mound for a second straight day. Even so, Prado could make for an intriguing low-cost DFS option while he sets the table for the likes of Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich and Marcell Ozuna.

Prado is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cardinals, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran infielder has nine hits over the past week, although he'll get another night off Wednesday as the Marlins continue to ease him back into regular action. Derek Dietrich will man the hot corner in his place.

Prado will get the day off Friday, MLB.com's Joe Frisaro reports.

EDGE Analysis

Prado has started the past six games since coming off the disabled list with a hamstring injury that caused him to miss around a month of action. It should come as no surprise that the veteran would need a standard day off every now and then, and he will get just that as the team starts a road trip in Milwaukee on Friday. In his place, Derek Dietrich is batting seventh and playing third.
