Giolito (8-1) allowed five hits and struck out nine over 7.1 scoreless innings to earn the win in Sunday's 2-0 victory over the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Giolito continued a strong stretch of pitching during which he's won six straight starts and seven straight decisions. The 24-year-old right-hander has posted a 1.03 ERA during his six-start winning streak. He controlled the zone once again, throwing 68 strikes among his 103 offerings. Walks used to be an issue for Giolito, who handed out 90 free passes in 2018 (4.7 BB/9), but he's walked just eight over his last 43.2 innings (1.6 BB/9). Giolito is in line to make his next start Friday on the road in Kansas City; however, the White Sox have a couple of off days this week and could opt to give him an extra day of rest.

Giolito (7-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the Royals, allowing three runs on three hits and a walk over eight innings while striking out 10.
EDGE Analysis
The two teams completed Monday's suspended contest earlier in the afternoon Tuesday, and as a result Giolito's usual pre-game routine got disrupted. After serving up a three-run homer to Alex Gordon in the first inning, however, the right-hander slipped into gear and wound up tying his career high in strikeouts en route to his fifth straight win. The 24-year-old is emerging as a bona fide ace for the White Sox, and he'll take a 2.85 ERA and 69:20 K:BB through 60 innings into his next start Sunday, at home against Cleveland.

EDGE Analysis
Not only was it Giolito's first complete-game shutout, but it was also the first time in his career to earn four consecutive wins. The only four hits Giolito allowed were singles as the right-hander fanned a season-high nine batters and threw 87 of 107 pitches for strikes. It was quite the feat against a top-ranked Houston offense. The right-hander will carry a 2.77 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 59:19 K:BB into a favorable showdown with Kansas City on Tuesday.
