Indians manager Terry Francona said Chisenhall (calf) will likely be activated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Tuesday's series opener against the Brewers, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chisenhall looks to be just about fully recovered from the right calf strain, as he has already logged appearances in seven minor-league rehab games, including starts with Triple-A Columbus both of the past two days. During his time on the farm, Chisenhall has gone 6-for-19 with a pair of home runs and five walks while gradually increasing the amount of innings he has played in the field. With Bradley Zimmer (chest) set to come off the DL on Friday and Brandon Guyer (neck) also on track for a Tuesday activation, manager Terry Francona will soon face some tough lineup choices in the outfield.

Chisenhall started in right field and recorded a base hit and double across two at-bats during his first rehab game with Triple-A Columbus on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Chisenhall was limited to four innings of playing time in his first competitive action since hitting the disabled list in early April with a right calf strain. The injury seems to be behind Chisenhall at this point, but because he has been idle for the past month and a half, the Tribe likely wants to see him play a full game in the field and pick up some additional at-bats in the minors before activating him. Chisenhall should be back from the 10-day disabled list at the end of the month and supplant Melky Cabrera and Brandon Guyer as the Indians' primary right fielder.

Chisenhall (calf) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Columbus on Monday, T.J. Zuppe of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chisenhall has been out since early April with a calf strain. The Indians are managing his rehab carefully and will continue to do so during his rehab assignment. He'll play a few innings Monday and Wednesday and will continue an every other day schedule while he works his way back from his injury.

Chisenhall (calf) resumed light baseball activities Saturday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Those activities included hitting and playing catch. The Indians are taking his rehab slowly, as he dealt with the same calf issue last year. They want him to be completely symptom-free before bringing him back in order to avoid the setbacks which cost him part of the 2017 season.

Indians manager Terry Francona said Sunday that Chisenhall is dealing with a right calf strain and will likely be sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks, Ryan Lewis of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though the Indians are characterizing Chisenhall's injury as mild, the outfielder will still be sidelined for at least the next month due to the recurring nature of the right calf issue, which cost him time in spring training and during the 2017 season. Chisenhall's extended absence should open up more at-bats in right field for Tyler Naquin, who will likely occupy the large side of a platoon with Brandon Guyer at the position after being promoted from Triple-A Columbus on Sunday.

The Indians placed Chisenhall (calf) on the 10-day disabled list Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
This was the expected outcome after Chisenhall sustained a right calf strain during Saturday's game against the Royals and was forced to exit early. The Indians haven't suggested that a long-term absence is in store for Chisenhall, but the team will bring aboard Tyler Naquin from Triple-A Columbus to provide some reinforcement in the outfield while Chisenhall is sidelined for at least a week and a half with the injury.

Chisenhall (calf) is expected to be placed on the disabled list, Zack Meisel of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder left Saturday's game prematurely, and it seems like the Indians are content with giving him a full 10 days to heal before returning to action. Tyler Naquin is expected to be called up to replace him on the active roster, but Brandon Guyer and Rajai Davis figure to see an increased workload as well while Chisenhall is sidelined. No timetable for return has emerged for the injured veteran.

Chisenhall left Saturday's game against the Royals with a right calf injury, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rajai Davis pinch hit for Chisenhall in the bottom of the second inning and took over in right field. The 29-year-old spent seven weeks on the disabled list with a right calf injury last season and also dealt with right calf tightness in spring training. Chisenhall's recent issues with the right calf are concerning, but he should be considered day-to-day until evaluated further.

Chisenhall is out of the lineup again Friday against the Royals, Zack Meisel of The Athletic Cleveland reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chisenhall sits for the second straight game as the Indians face another lefty in Danny Duffy. Brandon Guyer starts in his place, in what seems to be a straightforward platoon in right field. Chisenhall has a slight platoon split for his career (103 wRC+ against righties and 92 against lefties) but Guyer has a very large one (81 wRC+ against righties and 131 against lefties), making them a natural pairing.

Chisenhall is out of the lineup against the Angels on Wednesday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chisenhall has started in right field for the first five games of the 2018 season but will get the day off with southpaw Tyler Skaggs on the mound for Los Angeles. In his place, Brandon Guyer will draw the start and bat fifth in the order.
