Johnson is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers, Kevin McAlpin of the Braves Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson started five of the last seven games for the Braves, but he is just 3-for-15 (.200) in his career against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, so he will be held out Thursday with Kershaw on the mound for the opponent.

Johnson will start in left field for Saturday's matchup with the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson will replace Jeff Francoeur in the lineup, and will bat sixth in the order. He has two walks and zero hits in seven plate appearances this season while batting in the six-spot. He will likely return to his reserve role going forward.

Johnson is getting a rare start at first base and hitting cleanup Thursday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Freddie Freeman is getting the day off Thursday, which allows Johnson to not only get the start, but hit cleanup for the Braves on Thursday against the Nationals. He should come by a lot of at-bats, at least in the short term, with Hector Olivera facing a possible suspension for a domestic dispute Wednesday.

Johnson will bat fifth and play left field for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
With Hector Olivera on administrative leave, Johnson will get considerably more playing time moving forward, starting with Wednesday. Johnson is 2-for-8 this season, but his true value comes in his ability to play across the infield as well as in the corner outfield spots, playing in five different positions last season.

Johnson could be in line for additional playing time in left field with Hector Olivera placed on paid administrative leave Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The commissioner's office has reportedly begun an investigation into an alleged domestic dispute involving Olivera. Johnson, a lefty batter, is an obvious candidate for increased time in Olivera's absence, but the team may prefer to keep him flexible in his current super-utility role. Jeff Francoeur and Drew Stubbs figure to be in the mix as well.

Johnson is back in the lineup Saturday against the Cardinals, FOX Sports South reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson will make his first start of the season, taking over in left field for Hector Olivera, who's started the first three games of the season. The 34-year-old Johnson figures to continue to see spot starts against right-handers going forth.

Johnson has gone 14-for-37 (.270 average) with two doubles, a triple, a stolen base, nine walks and six strikeouts this spring.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old hasn't done much of note in camp, but he will make the team as a utility/reserve player. Johnson could supplant Adonis Garcia at third base or Hector Olivera in left field against especially tough right-handers, but without regular playing time, he's little more than a daily fantasy consideration.

Johnson agreed to a one-year deal with the Braves on Wednesday, MLB.com's Mark Bowman reports.
EDGE Analysis
Entering his age-34 season, it is fitting that Johnson will play what could be his final year in a significant role with the team that he spent the first five years of his career with. He slashed .265/.314/.435 with 14 home runs in 335 plate appearances split between the Braves and the Mets last season, so there is the potential for some deep league value here. Johnson was an ultimate utility player last year, seeing double-digit games at first base, second base, third base and left field, and he should be used in a similar fashion in 2016. He will be appealing in fantasy due to his eligibility at second base.

Johnson is not in the lineup for Game 2 of the World Series.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson registered just one at-bat in Game 1 before giving way to Michael Cuddyer who promptly struck out all three times he stepped to the plate. It's likely the 33-year-old will make a pinch-hit appearance at some point during the contest, but daily players shouldn't expect the veteran to register many at-bats in Game 2.

Johnson will take on DH duties for the Mets in Game 1 of the World Series on Tuesday at Kansas City, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has fared well in his career against the Royals' Game 1 starter, Edinson Volquez, posting a .286 batting average, one double, two RBI, and three walks. The appointment by manager Terry Collins will likely only last one game, as left-handed hitters (this includes Johnson) put together a miserable .215 average against Game 2 starter Johnny Cueto this season.
