Upton is not in the starting nine for Thursday's game against the White Sox, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.

EDGE Analysis

With the Angels' elimination from the playoffs, manager Mike Scioscia elected to give a bunch of regulars the day off, so Upton will occupy a seat on the bench for the series finale. Ben Revere will draw the start in left field in his stead.

Upton went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo homers Saturday against the Astros.

EDGE Analysis

Upton smashed his 33rd and 34th homers to tally the only runs for the Angels in a road defeat. He's crushed six homers over his last 10 games, and he's been an outstanding fantasy option at the most important time of the season.

Upton went 1-for-4 with his 32nd home run of the season Tuesday against the Indians.

EDGE Analysis

Upton is heating up at the right time for his owners who are in the fantasy playoffs, delivering four homers over his last six games. The veteran slugger hasn't slowed up since joining the Angels, setting new career highs in doubles (42), home runs (32) and RBI (104).

Upton went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs during Saturday's win over Texas.

EDGE Analysis

Upton entered with a respectable .277/.404/.447 slash line in September, but this was a breakout showing for the outfielder with his new club. It's been a monster fantasy campaign for Upton, as he's now up to a .281/.368/.546 slash line with 31 homers, 103 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 94 runs.

Upton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 9-1 win over Houston.

EDGE Analysis

It was Upton's 29th homer of the season, but Wednesday's blast was his first since joining the Angels on Sept. 1. The 30-year-old collected his 100th RBI for just the second time in his 11-year career, and he should easily surpass his career-high of 102 RBI while batting behind Mike Trout in the lineup.

Upton went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Mariners.

EDGE Analysis

Upton has meshed well with his new club, batting .333 (9-for-27) with a pair of doubles and three RBI since joining the Angels on Sept. 1. The veteran outfielder is hitting in a favorable spot behind Mike Trout in the three-hole and should continue to be a great fantasy asset down the stretch, especially once he taps into his career-high .253 isolated power rating.

Upton (hip) will start in left field and bat third Monday against the Athletics.

EDGE Analysis

Upton enjoyed another productive day in his third game in an Angels uniform Sunday, going 2-for-2 with three walks and a run scored before being lifted for a pinch runner late in the contest after suffering from some hip cramping. It appears little more than a case of dehydration was at the root of Upton's problems, so the Angels had no qualms about reinserting him into the lineup a day later. Upton looks like an easy activation for fantasy owners heading into the new week.

Upton was removed from Sunday's game for a pinch runner after feeling some cramping in his hip due to dehydration, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports

EDGE Analysis

It doesn't sound like the issue will cost Upton any future action, so expect him back in left field for the Angels on Monday in Oakland.

Upton will start in left field and bat third against the Rangers in his Angels debut Friday.

EDGE Analysis

With the trade from the Tigers to the Angels, Upton goes from batting behind the likes of Alex Presley, Dixon Machado and Andrew Romine to batting behind Mike Trout. Upton has turned in a fine season to this point and his outlook for counting stats is even brighter following the move west.

Upton was traded to the Angels on Thursday, in exchange for right-hander Grayson Long and a player to be named, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

EDGE Analysis

With the Angels squarely in the mix for a wild card berth, the club went out and secured the four-time All Star for what appears to be Grayson Long, and an additional lower-level prospect. Upton is due just over $22 million a year for the next four years, and has an opt-out clause in his contract for this upcoming winter. It appears as though the Angels are picking up most of his remaining salary, but the Tigers may have to kick in a small portion as well. Moving forward, Upton immediately becomes the starting left fielder for the Angels, while the club also traded Cameron Maybin to Houston on Thursday. This frees up an everyday role for Upton -- if he didn't have one already -- and a spot in the middle of the order for the Angels.
