Justin Turner Can Throw But Not Catch rotoballer.com Fri 4/20/18 3:30 PM
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) is throwing but is unable to catch due to his healing wrist. He's also taking swings off a tee. Turner sustained a fracture last month after being hit by a pitch. Interestingly enough, the person doing the catching for him has been Logan Forsythe, who can't throw. Turner is still a month or so from returning, but will become a hot commodity once he does. He won't have much power, but his calling card has been his hit tool. He should still b[...]

After fracturing his wrist prior to the season, Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner was placed on the disabled list and has yet to make his 2018 debut. On Tuesday, manager Dave Roberts admitted that Turner is still unable to swing a baseball bat. Turner is still a ways away from making his return to the Dodgers starting lineup and should not be expected back until May at the earliest. [...]
Justin Turner Hasn't Swung A Bat Yet rotoballer.com Tue 4/10/18 3:56 PM
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) has yet to swing a bat while he recovers from a non-displaced fracture in his wrist. He is, however, continuing to throw and will presumably go out on a rehab assignment when he's ready. The Dodgers have missed him in their lineup. They're the third to last team in both OBP and slugging without Turner. He's still worthy stash because, while he doesn't have a ton of power, his hit tool is among the best at any position.
Week 2 Waiver Wire - First Base (1B) and Third Base (3B) rotoballer.com Mon 4/9/18 4:48 AM
The Corner Store is open! Primary shoppers: Eugenio Suarez owners, Jake Lamb owners, Wil Myers owners, Justin Turner owners, and Greg Bird owners.
The selection of players on the waiver wire could not persuade you into thinking you were shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue. More likely, you are searching through outlet store type players. In most cases, you'll be seeing quality comparable to what is found at a place my daughter calls, "The Junk Store" (Goodwill). Regardless of whether or not play[...]
Justin Turner Will Swing A Bat Next Week rotoballer.com Mon 4/2/18 5:43 PM
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) will swing a bat next week in Arizona, according to manager Dave Roberts. He's been recovering from a wrist fracture made by an errant pitch. The loss of Turner is significant for the Dodgers since he was among the league leaders in OBP. The injury might zap some of his strength, but his hit tool should remain intact. If you have space on your bench, he's a worth stash.

Turner is recovering from a fractured wrist after being hit by a pitch in Spring Training. He's right on schedule, though he isn't likely to return until May. The injury will likely zap his power, but assuming all goes well, his excellent [...]
Justin Turner Close To Swinging A Bat rotoballer.com Fri 3/30/18 9:33 AM
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) is recovering well enough that he may start swinging a bat soon. That's welcome news for the Dodgers since Turner is their best hitter and they were unable to get anything started on Opening Day against a Madison Bumgarner-less Giants. Turner was hit by a pitch on March 19th by Kendall Graveman and suffered a wrist fracture. However, as far as broken wrists go, this one was relatively minor. Rather than wear a cast (as Freddie Freeman did l[...]
Justin Turner Will Not Need Surgery rotoballer.com Tue 3/20/18 9:46 AM
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) will not need surgery, according to Ken Gurnick of MLB.com. According to Gurnick, Turner's broken wrist will be in a brace for a couple days and then he will work on range-of-motion exercises. Turner owners will agree with his sentiment after Tuesday's news, as Turner called this "good news." Yes, this is very good news, even though he is unlikely to play well into April, if not longer. Turner has come on strong late in his career and hit [...]
Logan Forsythe To Replace Injured Justin Turner At Third rotoballer.com Tue 3/20/18 8:20 AM
Los Angeles Dodgers infield utilityman Logan Forsythe will get most of the starts at third base while starter Justin Turner heals from a fractured wrist sustained Monday night. Manager Dave Roberts said Forsythe is the best defender available, while Kike Hernandez, Chase Utley and possibly Austin Barnes will man second. Chris Taylor will likely stay in the outfield. The loss of Turner means that Cody Bellinger will likely bat third in the order. The use of Forsythe doesn't make sense from an off[...]
Justin Turner Suffers Broken Wrist rotoballer.com Mon 3/19/18 8:40 PM
Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner (wrist) suffered a broken left wrist after being hit by a pitch in the Cactus League game Monday night. There is no timetable for his injury, but expecting him to miss at least around two months would be a fair bet. Turner has come on strong late in his career and hit .322/.415/.530 with 21 home runs and 71 RBI for the Blue in 2017 and was one of the more intriguing corner infield power bats, especially in on-base percentage leagues. It's a big blo[...]
