Jefferess allowed a solo homer to Brandon Moss, but he still nailed down his 13th save of the season in a 3-1 victory against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers closer tossed up a solo blast to lead off the ninth, but then retired the next three Cardinals hitters. Jefferess threw 15 pitches, 11 of which were strikes and struck out one batter. He is 1-1 and 13-for-14 in save opportunities with a 2.55 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 17 strikeouts in 24.2 innings.

Jeffress could soon be sharing the closing duties once Will Smith shows he's back to his pre-injury form, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith was activated from the DL on Tuesday, and has not yet pitched in a game, but manager Craig Counsell intimated he'll use Smith to close games at times in the near future. Jeffress has allowed a .178/.217/.205 slash line to right-handed hitters this season, so he should continue to get most of the looks against righty-heavy portions of the opposing lineup. However, Smith, a southpaw, is the better option against left-handed hitters, so Jeffress figures to lose out on some saves over the rest of the season.

Jeffress pitched two-thirds of an inning, and allowed one run on a hit and a walk with no strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Jeffress has been very dependable in the closer role for the Brewers, but he couldn't get the job done this time, and allowed the winning run on a groundout after loading the bases. Jeffress, however, only has a 2.28 ERA, and he should remain as Milwaukee's closer for the foreseeable future.

Jeffress allowed one hit, but he ultimately pitched a scoreless inning to pick his 12th save of the campaign against the Braves on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Jeffress allowed a one-out single, but a forceout and a lineout got the job done for the 28-year-old righty. He's converted 12 of his 13 save opportunities this season, so he should remain the Brewers closer for the foreseeable future.

Jeffress was stuck with his first blown save of the year Wednesday against the Brewers after allowing a run to come around on a hit, a walk and a hit batsman in the ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
With the Brewers nursing a one-run lead, Jeffress came in for the save and promptly hit Anthony Rizzo, then gave up a single and a groundout to put runners at second and third for Addison Russell, who knocked in the tying run with a grounder of his own. Jeffress did, however, work his way out of further damage. Considering he's given up runs in just three of his 19 outings this year, we'll spot him a bad night. That said, Jeffress has a weak strikeout rate (just 12 in 18 innings) that may put him at risk of losing his job in the longer run.

Jeffress got the final out Monday against the Cubs with a strikeout to record his 11th save.
EDGE Analysis
The Brewers let Chase Anderson try for the shutout, but after he gave up a pair of solo homers to Jason Heyward and Kris Bryant, they let Jeffress clean up the last out. He made quick work of Anthony Rizzo to pick up the easy save. He remains perfect in save opportunities and has thrown seven consecutive scoreless outings.

Jeffress pitched a scoreless ninth inning while allowing one hit and striking out one to earn his 10th save Sunday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Jeffress was protecting a one-run lead, and gave up a two-out double before inducing a ground out to end the threat. He's now held opponents scoreless over his last six outings to lower his ERA to 2.16.

Jeffress notched his ninth save by pitching a clean ninth inning in Friday's 1-0 victory over the Padres. He also struck out a batter.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old closer kept his save conversion rate at 100 percent with a quick 10-pitch outing, securing a well-earned victory for starter Junior Guerra. Jeffress has only given up one earned run in the seven innings since being touched up by the Phillies for three hits and three earned runs over one frame on April 23.

Jeffress notched his eighth save with a scoreless ninth inning while allowing one hit Sunday at the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Jeffress was protecting a one-run lead, and gave up a one-out single, only to have Billy Hamilton caught stealing second base to end the game. He's now allowed baserunners in 10 of his 14 appearances, and he carries a 1.24 WHIP.

Jeffress remained perfect in save opportunities thanks to a clean inning with a strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Jeffress finally got his first save opportunity in the past 10 days, a one-run lead against the bottom of Anaheim's lineup. He had no trouble, as he needed just 11 pitches (eight strikes, two swinging) to end the ninth. Jeffress has a 3.08 ERA but has yet to allow a run in a save situation.
