Jeffress gave up two runs on three hits but still managed to pick up his 16th save in Tuesday's win over Oakland.
EDGE Analysis
Jeffress is a solid 16-for-17 in save opportunities but has been showing some cracks of late. He has given up an earned run in three of his past five appearances and has seen his ERA jump from 1.96 to 2.93 in that span. Jeffress will have to watch his back with Will Smith healthy, and his strikeout rate is low for the modern closer role (20 strikeouts in 27.2 innings), but with his high success rate thus far, he should have decent job security for the foreseeable future.

Jeffress allowed a hit, but ultimately got the job done with two strikeout in one inning against the Phillies on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Even though Jeffress allowed a hit, he was pretty effective, as he only needed 12 pitches (nine thrown for strikes) to record the save. There's a chance he might lose on some save opporunities now that Will Smith will return to action soon, but he remains an effective late-inning option for the time being.
