Ellsbury injured his elbow making a catch during Monday's game against the Blue Jays but is hopeful he can play Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellsbury needed to ice his left (throwing) elbow after making the catch, but he thinks he'll be fine. The Yankees may opt to rest him after the scare, though, so be sure to check his status before the 7:05 PM start time in leagues with daily lineups.

Ellsbury is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After opening the series Friday with a homer and five RBI, Ellsbury followed up with one of his worst games of the season Saturday, striking out in all four of his at-bats. Manager Joe Girardi will give Ellsbury a day off in the series finale to clear his mind, allowing Aaron Hicks to enter the starting nine in center field. Expect Ellsbury to return to action Monday against the Blue Jays.

Ellsbury went 1-for-5 with two runs scored and five RBI in Friday's 14-11 extra-inning win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
The big blow was a seventh-inning grand slam off former Yankee teammate Vidal Nuno, Ellsbury's third homer of the season. The 33-year-old is now slashing .295/.345/.436 through 21 games and is already 6-for-7 in stolen base attempts.

Ellsbury went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran outfielder is off to a solid start to the campaign with a .333/.380/.455 slash line, 11 runs, two home runs, four RBI and six stolen bases. Injuries have been the biggest hindrance to Ellsbury's fantasy stock over the years, but as long as he's healthy, he has the potential to be a serviceable five-category contributor that can provide the biggest boost in the stolen bases column.

Ellsbury is batting cleanup for Friday's contest with the Cardinals, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellsbury manned the leadoff spot while Brett Gardner was out of commission, but with the latter returning to the lineup, Ellsbury slides down in the order a bit. That being said, this is still a favorable spot in the order, as now he could be in line for more RBI opportunities moving forward if this positioning sticks.

Ellsbury is starting in center field and batting leadoff for Wednesday's matinee against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Brett Gardner is set for his first off day of the season, moving Ellsbury up in the batting order. The 33-year-old is off to a nice start on the year, batting .348 with a .940 OPS, a trend he'll look to continue while seeing more at-bats in the No. 1 slot.

Ellsbury is out of the lineup Sunday against the Orioles, MLB.com's Bryan Hoch reports.
EDGE Analysis
It looks to be little more than a rest day for the veteran outfielder, who had started in center field in each of the Yankees' previous five games this season. Aaron Hicks will spell Ellsbury in the outfield and bat second in the order Sunday, but the 33-year-old looks to be in little danger of conceding regular starts. Ellsbury is off to a strong start at the dish to begin the campaign, going 7-for-19 with a homer and three runs scored.

Ellsbury went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
He's one of the few Yankee hitters off to a good start, going 5-for-11 (.455) during the three-game series in Tampa. The veteran outfielder has only managed double-digit homers in a season twice in his career, however, so while Wednesday's blast was a nice early bonus, Ellsbury's fantasy value in 2017 is more likely to come from stealing bases and scoring runs.

Ellsbury went 2-for-4 with a double in Tuesday's win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Ellsbury has been hitting in unfamiliar territory thus far, as he's been penciled into the fifth spot in the lineup in the opening two games of the season for the first two times of his career. That could change when Didi Gregorius (shoulder) rejoins the lineup either later in the month or in early May, but for the time being Ellsbury will likely see some more RBI chances than he has in the past hitting at the top of the lineup.

Manager Joe Girardi said Tuesday that he is "leaning toward" batting Ellsbury fifth, the Associated Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ellsbury has been in the two-hole throughout the spring, but he's batting fifth Tuesday and Girardi suggested that is where Ellsbury will be on Opening Day. The Yankees wanted to break up Brett Gardner and Ellsbury (both lefties) at the top of the order, so the new plan is to go with Gary Sanchez in the No. 2 spot followed by Greg Bird, Matt Holliday and Ellsbury. Ellsbury has never started a regular season game in the No. 5 spot.
