Yankees pitching coach Larry Rothschild told Jim Duquette of Sirius XM Radio Friday that the team will likely limit CC Sabathia's workload in 2013 and keep an eye on his pitch counts.

Sabathia underwent surgery last month to remove a small bone spur from his left elbow. That, combined with the fact that he's thrown 230+ innings in five of the last six seasons, is enough to convince the Bombers that they need it take it a little easier on their ace next season. Sabathia is expected to be fully healthy for spring training.
