Werth (toe) is expected to be activated prior to Monday's game against the Marlins, Chelsea Janes of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
It appears Werth is finally ready to rejoin the Nationals after missing nearly three months with a toe injury. The 38-year-old finished up a six-game rehab stint with Triple-A Syracuse and High-A Potomac on Sunday, going a combined 3-for-13 (.231) with a 4:4 K:BB. He should immediately return to his post as Washington's starting left fielder, but seeing as the Nationals have a healthy lead in the division, they'll likely afford him regular days off as they ease him back into action. Werth had a .262/.367/.446 line with eight homers in 47 games before landing on the shelf.
