The Nationals' Davey Johnson has been announced as the National League Manager of the Year.

He beats out the Reds' Dusty Baker and the Giants' Bruce Bochy. Although the Nats disappointingly were bounced out in the NLDS, Johnson led them to a major league-leading 98 wins following a year where they finished under .500. The 69-year-old will return in 2013 for one final season.
