The Cardinals are optimistic that Allen Craig (knee) will return to game action by the end of the week. Craig recently returned to the team's complex in Florida after receiving treatment on his surgically-repaired knee in St. Louis. He'll likely be eased back into action in extended spring training games before beginning an official minor league rehab assignment. The Cards are being extra careful with his rehab after he experienced some swelling in his knee during a minor league game toward the end of spring training, so we could be looking at a return in early May at this point.
