The Blue Jays announced Wednesday that Darren Oliver will be back with the club for the 2013 season. The Blue Jays picked up Oliver's $3 million club option for 2013 in October, but the veteran left-hander indicated last month that he wanted a raise or a trade to the Rangers in order to come back for his 20th season in the big leagues. It appears that Oliver backed down, as he will return without a raise. The 42-year-old posted a 2.06 ERA and 52/15 K/BB ratio over 56 2/3 innings last season and should be a valuable late-inning arm for a team which is expected to contend in 2013.
