Ryan Howard smashed a grand slam homer and drove home five, leading the Phillies in a 16-1 rout over the Mets in New York on Thursday.

Howard finished the evening 2-for-6 with a homer, two runs scored and five RBI. He's still struggling to make consistent contact, hitting just .228 (54-for-237), but his impressive power has certainly returned. He's homered in each of his last two contests and now has 12 bombs and 53 RBI on the season. At 32-years-old, Howard should continue to be an elite run producer for several more seasons.
