Royals recalled RHP Jeremy Jeffress from Double-A Northwest Arkansas. Jeffress was just optioned to the minors last week, but he's eligible to return now that Northwest Arkansas' season is over. The 24-year-old right-hander has surrendered eight hits and six walks across 6 2/3 innings this season in the major leagues but has yet to allow an earned run. He'll pitch in middle relief.
