Red Sox signed SS Stephen Drew to a one-year contract. Drew will receive a prorated portion of the $14.1 million qualifying offer he turned down over the winter, which comes out to around $10 million. While he is on the active roster, Drew is expected to play 7-10 games in the minors in order to knock the rust off. He'll take over as the starting shortstop once ready, pushing Xander Bogaerts to third base.
