Rangers' prospect outfielder Leonys Martin will have a thumb injury examined by team orthopedist Dr. Keith Meister on Wednesday.

Martin left Tuesday's game with what was described as a jammed thumb. The 24-year-old outfielder is hitting .347/.423/.520 with three homers, 11 RBI, seven stolen bases and a .944 OPS over 111 plate appearances with Triple-A Round Rock this season. We should learn more about his status at some point on Wednesday.
