Paul signed a minor league deal with the Phillies, which includes a spring training invite, on Thursday, Rich Dubroff of CSN reports. Paul spent most of 2014 with the Orioles organization at Triple-A Norfolk, where he hit just .251 with 57 RBI and 12 home runs in 299 at-bats. He was released in August and quickly signed with the Diamondbacks, for whom he appeared in 14 games near the end of the season. In that stint, he was 2-for-20 at the plate with eight strikeouts. Arizona released Paul on Aug. 29, solidifying his status as a free agent this offseason.
