MLB Network's Peter Gammons reports Stephen Drew's decision is "awaiting some further Yankee clarity." It's not clear exactly what clarity Drew is waiting for -- the Yankees seem set with Derek Jeter and Brendan Ryan at shortstop. There hasn't been a reported offer from the Yankees to the 30-year-old, as the shortstop's market has been pretty quiet thus far this offseason. The Mets and Red Sox have also been connected to Drew to some degree, but nothing has seemed imminent up to this point. Perhaps that's close to changing.
