Mets' manager Terry Collins says he hopes to have Duda (elbow) for the upcoming weekend series against the Brewers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Duda, out since April with a hyperextended left elbow, has made three consecutive starts with High-A St. Lucie and appears ready to return to regular action. The power-hitting first baseman got off to a nice start on the season by blasting four home runs, so he should be guaranteed a starting spot upon his return. The interesting question will be what the Mets do with T.J. Rivera, who has hit .309 since taking over as Duda's temporary replacement.
