Matz threw two scoreless innings in his start Saturday. Matz is viewed by many at the same level as Noah Syndergaard, the Mets' best pitching prospect. He is expected to start the season at Triple-A Las Vegas, but if he pitches like he has the past two seasons, he will force the Mets' hands into an early promotion.
